all teaching staff gathered today to have our annual curriculum meeting today. was much fun. reviewing the children and ourselves. as our school's curriculum is much based on Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory, we reviewed and evaluated the teacher's and children's area of intelligence as well as how our programme can be altered to suit their learning and their teacher's teaching style.
HOWARD GARDNER's Mutiple Intelligences Theory..
Gardner defines intelligence as "the capacity to solve problems or to fashion products that are valued in one or more cultural setting" (Gardner & Hatch, 1989). currently, there are 8 mutiple intelligences with the 9th one still pending.
Visual/ Spatial - Art Smart Musical - Music Smart Naturalistic - Nature Smart Kinaesthetic - Body Smart Linguistic - Verbal/ Word Smart Logical - Number Smart Interpersonal - People Smart Intrapersonal - Self Smart Spiritual - (still pending)
the teachers did a test and evaluated one and another. found out that ms sheryl's actually verbal/ lingustic smart and very self smart. not that i'm not logical. but just that my strengths are being verbal and i love self-evaluation. we aslo found out that the girls in my class are very verbal/linguistic smart. ms tan was wondering if i'm infulence by the children or otherwise. hahahahahaha we also found out that ms angela's not body smart. *bleah*

cheryl: ms sheryl, can you please feed me? ms sheryl: you can feed yourself right? ms sheryl: cheryl's a big girl now. cheryl: but i too slow. cheryl: i want you to feed me. ms sheryl: it's alright. ms sheryl will wait for you. cheryl: oh! only babies is the infant room need to be feed? ms sheryl: yes cheryl: just like edward and caleb? ms sheryl: yes. so cheryl can eat on her own. cheryl: yesssss!
